The Chesapeake Division brings together passionate model railroaders from across central and eastern Maryland, including Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Dorchester, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot Counties, as well as Baltimore City. Members are ready to help you start, grow, and enjoy your journey in model railroading—no matter your scale, skill level, or area of interest. Whether you’re building your first layout, learning about operations, improving scenery techniques, or refining advanced modeling skills, you’ll find a welcoming and supportive community eager to share knowledge, ideas, and inspiration. Membership is open to anyone—from individuals and families to organizations and businesses—who shares an interest in the rich and rewarding world of railroading.
The Chesapeake Division is part of the Mid-Eastern Region of the National Model Railroad Association, an international organization dedicated to advancing the hobby through education, standards, and fellowship. By joining the NMRA, you become connected to a worldwide network of model railroaders while also gaining automatic membership in your local division and region. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in railroading and can be completed easily through the NMRA’s website, providing access to valuable resources, publications, events, clinics, and opportunities to learn and connect both locally and nationally.
